Facilities Engineer

Location - Northamptonshire

Salary - £40,500

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday, 40 hour week with flexibility

We are recruiting for a Facilities Engineer to join an FMCG Manufacturer in Northamptonshire. You will play a key role in carrying out maintenance of building services of the plant to ensure safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver maintenance and operation of site utilities and building services, ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and uninterrupted production support across all areas.
Coordinate and manage facility-related contractors, ensuring service delivery aligns with company standards, compliance requirements, and site-specific operational needs.
Take ownership of facility-based issues, resolving technical challenges and health and safety concerns in a timely, effective manner.
Support energy management initiatives, contributing to target setting, monitoring performance, and driving improvements in overall site energy efficiency.
Ensure all statutory and legislative maintenance tasks are scheduled, tracked, and completed in line with regulatory compliance standards.
Collaborate closely with engineering, H&S, and cross-functional teams to deliver continuous improvement projects and support wider business objectives.Requirements

Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications, with experience using databases or CMMS systems considered advantageous in a facilities environment.
Background or understanding of engineering principles, with experience in maintenance or facilities operations within a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
Knowledge of health and safety practices, with relevant training beyond basic level and a commitment to maintaining safe working environments.
Relevant certifications such as HACCP Level 2 and Food Hygiene Level 2, or willingness to obtain, supporting compliance within a food production setting.
Highly organised and self-motivated, with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
