Job Title: .NET/C# Developer - React, Azure, SQL Server & Playwright

Location: Leeds - Hybrid (1-2x/Month)

Rate: £550/day Outside IR35

Duration: Until End of September to begin with

We're looking for a skilled .NET/C# Developer with strong Azure experience and a solid understanding of modern DevOps practices to help design, build, and scale cloud-native solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a range of impactful projects using the latest Microsoft technologies.

What you'll be doing:

• Developing high-quality, maintainable, and scalable applications using C#/.NET (.NET 8).
• Building and deploying solutions in Microsoft Azure using services like App Services, Azure Functions, Key Vault, and Cosmos DB.
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Collaborating with architects, testers, and stakeholders to deliver robust, cloud-based systems.
• Writing and maintaining integration and end-to-end tests using Playwright.
• Working with SQL Server and other data storage technologies as part of backend systems.
• Contributing to infrastructure-as-code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Applying software engineering best practices including unit testing, code reviews, and agile methodologies.
• Working extensively with React 16+ ( currently React 19 here) in cross-functional teams to support frontend/backend integration.

What we're looking for:

• Strong experience in C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 8).
• Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure - PaaS services, Azure Functions, and containerised workloads.
• Proven experience with Playwright for end-to-end and integration testing.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and understanding of relational database design and queries.
• Hands-on experience with React (version 16 or later; ideally React 19).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices: CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated deployments.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (nice to have).
• A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Desirable:

• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and performance tuning in cloud environments.
• Exposure to additional frontend frameworks such as Blazor or Angular.
