Due to our continued growth, we have a new exciting opportunity for a finance professional to join our team and help drive the department forward.
Axil is a leading total waste management company who believes in ensuring waste reaches its full potential. We work with some global brands to help manage their waste streams in the most sustainable way.
As our Finance Manager, you will contribute to the development and delivery of a high performing finance function, covering aspects such as; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, management accounts and general ledger functions.
As an experienced leader, you will manage the finance team to ensure that both the financial reporting, budgeting and the accounting function are performed with the highest level of accuracy and in a timely manner whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative standards. You’ll provide direction and guidance to individuals, encouraging their personal growth and ensuring that they have the knowledge to complete the necessary tasks.
You will create and deliver high performance standards across all aspects of finance, ensuring that Axil has in place effective plans, policies and systems for all business operations within this area. You’ll prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and opportunity to support in FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Providing reports to the CFO and Head of Finance, you will inform them of financial performance, legislative and regulatory requirements and provide insight into the financial strategy.
Communication is key to this role, as you will be integrating the team into the business and encouraging a collaborative working relationship with other departments. As qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent), you will have gained experience in the preparation of management accounts, year-end financial statements, budgets and projections. You will be accustomed to developing and maintaining reports and supporting strategic or value creation projects. Strong Excel skills are essential, and you will be confident with the analysis of large amounts of data. You will have experience of managing a team and have a passion for delivering improvement and driving value.
