Senior Production Engineer (Electronics Bias)

The Role We're seeking an enthusiastic Production Engineer with electronics/test bias to bridge Engineering and Production teams, designing test equipment, developing test plans, and driving process improvements. You'll support operations through in-process sub-assembly testing, LRU/RMA validation, fault-finding, and technical problem-solving to enhance build quality and minimise delays.

Key Responsibilities:

Interface between Engineering and Production to define in-process testing requirements
Design/develop test equipment, jigs, fixtures and procurement support
Create detailed test plans/procedures ensuring quality and customer requirements
Provide electrical/test support to resolve production issues and reduce rework
Implement process improvements, cost reductions and continuous improvement initiatives
Fault-find electromechanical equipment and perform root cause analysis
Support quality investigations, staff training and CR implementation
Occasional customer travel for technical supportWhat We're Looking For Essential:

5+ years' experience in test/engineering environment (degree/HND desirable)
Strong knowledge of testing electrical/electromechanical equipment
Excellent ability reading complex technical drawings (wiring diagrams, PCB schematics)
Proficient computer skills and clear communication (verbal/written)Desirable:

Staff supervision/mentoring experience
LabVIEW software knowledge
PLC programming
CAD software experience
