About the School:

We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Watford that prides itself on delivering a broad and balanced curriculum in a supportive, inclusive environment. The school is known for its strong sense of community, commitment to academic excellence, and focus on developing students both academically and personally.

The school is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join their team from September, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. Specialisms in History, Geography, or RE are welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality Humanities lessons that inspire and challenge students

Teach across KS3 and KS4 (with potential for KS5, depending on experience)

Create a positive and engaging learning environment that supports all learners

Monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and support achievement targets

Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students of all abilities

Contribute to curriculum development and department planning

Prepare students for GCSE examinations, including assessment and revision sessions

Participate in school activities, extracurricular programmes, and wider school life

Maintain effective classroom management and uphold the school's behaviour policies

Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and staff

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant overseas teaching qualification

A degree in a Humanities subject (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Education)

Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching

Experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level

Excellent classroom management skills

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students

An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
