About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Team Leader to join our organisation on an immediate contract basis. This role is crucial in ensuring our housing and property portfolio in Littlehampton remains fully compliant with statutory building safety requirements.

You will take ownership of compliance activities across fire safety, asbestos, gas, water hygiene, electrical testing, and lifts, while managing a small team to deliver high standards of safety and assurance.

This is an initial 6-month contract (inside IR35) with the potential to move into a permanent role for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and manage a compliance team, ensuring clear direction and accountability.

*

Oversee compliance programmes across fire safety, asbestos, gas, water hygiene, electrical testing, and lifts.

*

Maintain rigorous monitoring, auditing, and reporting processes to demonstrate compliance assurance.

*

Act as the main point of contact for contractors, stakeholders, and regulators.

*

Drive improvements in compliance processes and embed a proactive safety culture.

*

Support the delivery of building safety and housing compliance strategies.

Requirements

*

Proven experience in housing, social housing, property, or residential building safety compliance.

*

Strong technical knowledge across fire, asbestos, gas, water hygiene, electrical testing, and lifts.

*

Demonstrated leadership experience — managing, supervising, or leading compliance teams.

*

A recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent).

*

Excellent organisational and reporting skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

*

Available for an immediate start in Littlehampton.
