Building Control Surveyor (Class 2D+) - East Midlands
Contract: Initial 6-month contract
Location: East Midlands (Hybrid working)
Rate: Up to £65 per hour (Inside IR35 / Umbrella)

A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Class 2D+ Building Control Surveyor to join a busy East Midlands local authority on an initial 6-month contract with hybrid working flexibility.

🔎 Role Overview:

You will be responsible for assessing and inspecting building control applications to ensure full compliance with Building Regulations across a wide range of commercial and residential projects. This role offers a great balance of office and remote working within a supportive team.

✔ Key Responsibilities:

Review and approve building control plans and applications

Carry out site inspections to monitor compliance

Provide expert advice to developers, architects, and contractors

Investigate breaches and unsafe structures

Keep accurate and timely records and reports

🎯 Candidate Requirements:

Valid Class 2D+ accreditation under the BSR scheme

Proven experience within local authority or relevant building control environment

Strong understanding of Building Regulations and statutory requirements

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

📍 Location & Working Pattern:

Based in the East Midlands with hybrid working arrangements (part office, part remote)
