Well-established, small building contractor based in East London, delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across London and the surrounding areas require an experienced Quantity surveyor to join their team and play a key role in the commercial management of their projects.

Reporting to the Directors, you will take full commercial responsibility for 3-4 projects from pre-construction through to final account. This is a hands-on role offering real autonomy and the opportunity to influence commercial strategy within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities :

Managing all commercial aspects of projects from tender to final account

Preparing cost plans, budgets, and feasibility assessments

*

Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and contract administration

*

Valuations, variations, and interim applications for payment

*

Cost reporting and cash flow forecasting

*

Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and margin targets

*

Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project teams

You will be :

*

Experienced as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 4 years at Senior level

*

Have experience working for a main contractor

*

Strong knowledge of JCT contracts

*

Proven experience managing projects independently

*

Excellent negotiation and communication skills

*

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

*

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred)

*

RICS accreditation (desirable but not essential)
