About the Role:We are looking for a friendly and confident Retail Sales Assistant who thrives in a customer-facing role and is passionate about design-led retail. You will be the welcoming face of Soroka, guiding customers through our store and helping them discover the perfect piece for themselves or as a gift.

You’ll also take part in all aspects of the shop floor: maintaining visual standards, assisting with stock, and processing online and in-store orders. Gift wrapping skills are a real plus, as we offer complimentary gift wrapping and believe in creating memorable moments through thoughtful presentation.

Being part of a small team, you’ll have your own responsibilities but also be happy to step in and support your teammates when needed. We work as one — united by the goal of bringing a little magic to the retail experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer exceptional customer service and a warm, welcoming environment
• Confidently guide customers through our product selection, sharing stories behind our brands and products
• Assist customers with tailored gift recommendations
• Maintain high visual merchandising standards and ensure the store is always beautifully presented
• Process in-store and online orders through Shopify
• Take care in wrapping items beautifully and securely, especially fragile pieces
• Assist with stock management, receiving deliveries, and replenishing displays
• Stay up to date with product information and new arrivals
• Follow company procedures and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture

Skills & Experience:

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a boutique or design-led environment
• Experience using Shopify (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Friendly, helpful, and confident with a proactive attitude
• A keen eye for visual presentation and detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
• Strong organisational skills and a positive, flexible mindset
• Gift wrapping skills appreciated — care and presentation are key to what we do
• A genuine love for storytelling, design, and independent brands
