Your new companyOne of the UK's leading infrastructure contractors, working across a number of sectors including: transport, highways, water, energy and telecommunications.Your new roleA leading highways contractor is looking for an experienced general foreman to join their team in Cambridge to work on highways schemes throughout the night. You will join a successful team of PMs and Agents as well as general operatives.Your duties:Lead and Manage Construction Activities:Take charge of construction work within the project team, applying your experience to recommend effective construction methods that prioritise constructability and cost-efficiency.Ensure Compliance and Quality:Oversee the implementation of quality procedures and ensure all works comply with relevant standards and safe systems of work, including proper site layout and setup.Stakeholder Communication:Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders to meet and exceed client expectations.Site Records and Documentation:Keep a comprehensive site diary, documenting daily resources, completion dates of key activities, and detailed records of site operations.Planning and Progress Reporting:Implement and manage a planning process, regularly reporting on progress, identifying blockers and enablers, and highlighting any discrepancies to the programme.
