Room Leader – Early Years Education | Up to £30,400 | Full-Time, All Year Round

Our client is a well-established nursery with a strong Ofsted rating, offering a nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and grow. They are seeking a Room Leader with a Level 3 Early Years qualification to guide and inspire their dedicated team.

 

This is a full-time, all year-round role based in a beautiful setting featuring age-appropriate playrooms, a sensory room, and a spacious outdoor garden — perfect for encouraging creativity, curiosity, and development.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or experienced Nursery Practitioner.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to guide and support your team.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Passion for child development and commitment to delivering outstanding care and education.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative, positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily practice within your room, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate, engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support, motivate, and develop your team to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s progress to inform planning and share updates with families.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to uphold the nursery’s ethos and commitment to excellence.
