AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES ENGINEERS
Job Title(s) - Aircraft Structures Engineer, Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer

Job Location - Seattle, WA and Chatsworth (Los Angeles), CA.
Security Clearance - No Security Clearance Required
Perform structural analysis of primary and secondary structure (e.g., finite element modeling, static stress, fatigue, damage tolerance, etc.) Integrate technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with customer, regulatory and company requirements and document results in stress notes, data sets, reports, specifications, and supporting written communications. Interface with other members of project or program teams, including CAD design engineers, loads engineers, aerodynamics engineers, management and technical staff.
Experience with FEMAP, NASTRAN, NASGRO, or PATRAN is desired. Familiarity with structural analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structure, metal and composite material behavior, finite element analysis methods, detail stress analysis using industry-standard methodologies, workstation tools, and related regulatory and qualification requirements. Some experience with CATIA V5 and Fatigue, Durability and Damage Tolerance Analysis is a plus.

Education and Experience
Engineer - Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering from an approved institution. MS degree and/or a minimum of two (2) years of experience is desirable. Works under the technical direction of a Senior Engineer.
Senior Engineer - Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering from an approved institution. Works independently. Sufficient experience and knowledge to direct and mentor less experienced engineers. MS degree is a plus. Works under the direction of a Principal Engineer or Project Manager.
Principal Engineer - Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering from an approved institution. MS degree is desirable. Is an FAA DER or is DER capable. Has strong leadership capabilities and leadership experience, Works as technical lead for a significant portion of a program.
