Warehouse Team Leader
Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire
£33,900 - weekly paid plus overtime
3 on 3 off days and nights shifts
We are supporting a warehouse and distribution company with the recruitment of a warehouse team leader; the ideal candidate will be available on a temp to perm however they will consider permanent for the right candidate. This is a hands-on role - 40% supervising and 60% picking orders and driving the FLT.
Warehouse team leader duties
Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of goods to
maximize output and efficiency.
Manage Staff: Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse employees, ensuring they meet
performance standards and safety regulations.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular counts, and ensure accurate order fulfillment and shipping processes.
Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, implementing
safety protocols and conducting regular inspections.
Logistical Coordination: Coordinate the flow of goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery
and proper documentation of shipments.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all warehouse tools and equipment are well-maintained to prevent operational disruptions.
FLT: Forklift truck or Powered pallet truck.
Warehouse team leader skills
Previous experience of working in a busy warehouse is required along with managing a team
Flexible in your approach
Must be hands on
FLT licences reach and PPT (these can be out of date as refresher training available)
