Product Manager (Insurance)
 
I am working with a Financial Services client who is seeking a Product Manager to oversee regulatory product governance, ensure ongoing compliance, and develop a forward-looking product strategy. The role will require experience within premium finance and/or insurance.
 
This role offers the opportunity to shape product direction, support commercial growth, and ensure the delivery of excellent customer outcomes.
 
Key Responsibilities

Ensure all product governance and regulatory compliance requirements are met, including reporting and review activities required by regulatory bodies.
Lead regular product reviews and conduct annual Fair Value Assessments, obtaining approval through engagement with senior stakeholders.
Support the development and prioritisation of a strategic product roadmap, informed by business insights, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with marketing and distribution teams to define a compelling value proposition and support go-to-market execution.
Create engaging go-to-market materials to support sales teams and strengthen broker relationships.
Collaborate across departments to deliver initiatives that drive commercial value and enhance the customer journey.
Monitor product-related risks and ensure conduct metrics are tracked and reported appropriately.
Chair the Premium Customer Forum, fostering a strong focus on improving customer experience.
Build and maintain relationships with broker partners to ensure market relevance and strategic alignment.
Oversee third-party suppliers and operational teams regarding pricing, contracts, and commercial performance. 
Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Experience in the insurance broker and/or premium finance market
Strong understanding of Product Governance and Responsible Lending regulations
Experience as a Product Manager or in a Project or Change Management role
Excellent interpersonal skills: assertive, energetic, and results-oriented
Exceptional planning and prioritisation skills, comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Analytical mindset with a strong grasp of data-driven decision making
Proven ability to manage and influence a broad stakeholder network
Strong presentation and communication skills
Strategic thinker with a creative, inquisitive approach
Collaborative and open working style that fits within a team-oriented culture
A good sense of humour and a calm approach under pressure
