Company: RONALD JAMES

Job Type: Permanent, FullTime

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum

We’re a growing SaaS business building a modern, cloud-native platform used by customers every day — and we’re looking for an experienced .NET Developer to help us scale, evolve and push the product forward.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work on core services, design scalable systems, and influence how our platform runs in the cloud. You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team that values clean code, smart architecture and shipping quality software at pace.

If you enjoy solving complex problems, working with modern cloud tech, and seeing your work make a real impact — this one’s for you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing, building and maintaining backend services using .NET / C#
  • Developing cloud-native solutions running on Azure or AWS
  • Building and consuming APIs that power a modern SaaS platform
  • Improving scalability, performance, resilience and security
  • Working with cloud services such as storage, messaging and background processing
  • Collaborating closely with product, frontend and DevOps teams
  • Contributing to architectural decisions and technical best practices
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

What we’re looking for

  • Strong commercial experience with .NET / C#
  • Experience building and maintaining cloud-hosted applications
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and service-based architectures
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in a SaaS or product-led environment
  • A mindset focused on quality, scalability and continuous improvement
  • Someone who enjoys ownership and solving real-world problems

Nice to have (but not essential)

  • Experience with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, etc.)
  • Containerisation and orchestration experience (Docker / Kubernetes)
  • Infrastructure as Code exposure (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
  • Event-driven or microservices architectures
  • Automated testing and CI/CD experience

Why join us?

  • Real ownership over systems, services and technical direction
  • Modern cloud stack with time to build things properly
  • A supportive, collaborative engineering culture
  • Clear progression as the product and platform scale
  • Flexible working with a strong focus on balance and sustainability
