Our client, a respected and growing organisation within the pensions sector, is seeking a SIPP Technical Consultant to join their SIPP Proposition team. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity, offered on a hybrid basis from either their Cheltenham or Glasgow office.

This role plays a key part in supporting the ongoing development, governance, and compliance of the organisation’s SIPP proposition, ensuring it continues to meet both regulatory and customer expectations.

As a SIPP Technical Consultant, you will work closely with technical, operational, and proposition teams to ensure regulatory compliance, support governance activity, and provide clear communication on industry changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the SIPP Head of Technical & Communications in delivering Consumer Duty accountabilities.
  • Staying up-to-date with regulatory developments across the SIPP market and communicating these to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitoring FCA, DWP, and HMRC updates; assessing impacts; and ensuring clear communication and training internally and externally.
  • Acting as a technical escalation point for queries from business development, operations, and change teams.
  • Supporting the Technical Committee with complex case referrals.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams to analyse regulatory changes and help implement required updates to ensure strong customer outcomes.
  • Identifying emerging risks and contributing to governance solutions to mitigate potential customer detriment.

Our client is keen to hear from applicants who can demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of the SIPP and SSAS marketplace
  • Broader understanding of the pensions market
  • Experience working with HMRC and FCA rules as they apply to SIPPs
  • A proactive, organised approach and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Confidence in presenting and strong interpersonal communication skills.
