Fire Safety Officer

Location: Barras Bridge, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 8QH

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 3+ Months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £18.26 Per Hour

Job Responsibilities

Conduct fire risk assessments and audits.

Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.

Develop and implement fire safety policies.

Provide fire safety training to staff.

Coordinate fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures.

Inspect and maintain fire safety equipment.

Collaborate with local fire services and authorities.

Person Specifications

Must Have

NVQ Level 3 qualification in fire risk assessment or fire safety audit.

Experience in conducting fire risk assessments.

Strong understanding of fire safety regulations.

Excellent communication skills.

Eligibility to work in the UK.

Nice to Have

Experience working with local councils or in a similar role.

Knowledge of NEPO compliance requirements.

Additional fire safety certifications.
