We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our educational team in Bexley. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to supporting students with special educational needs, facilitating their personal and academic growth in a supportive school environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs within the classroom setting.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of each student.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to enhance instructional activities and create an engaging learning environment.
- Support students in developing essential life skills and social interactions.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to help further student development.
- Manage and organize resources to ensure a safe and orderly classroom environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs and challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging approach to student interaction.
- Relevant qualifications in education, special needs education, or related fields are preferred.
