An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a well‑established garden design, build, and maintenance company delivering high‑end horticultural services across London. This is a key operational role managing a diverse portfolio of maintenance clients and overseeing multiple gardening teams.

With over 20 years of experience and a strong reputation for quality and attention to detail, the business maintains gardens ranging from large, leafy residential spaces to city courtyards and roof gardens. This role is ideal for an organised, people‑focused manager with a genuine interest in horticulture and garden maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Scheduling & Client Management
Manage and maintain the overall maintenance schedule across the client base
Maximise billable hours while consistently delivering high service standards
Communicate with clients to confirm visits, gather feedback, and regularly review service levelsTeam Management

Manage and support six maintenance teams working across London
Maintain daily communication with team leaders and gardeners to ensure work is completed to a high standard
Ensure teams are fully prepared with the correct information, materials, and schedules for each jobSupplier & Vendor Management

Order plants, materials, and sundries in line with maintenance requirements
Coordinate deliveries to align with team schedules and site needsSeasonal Services

Upsell, plan, and manage seasonal services such as mulching, lawn care, and bulb planting
Organise materials, scheduling, and delivery from start to finishData, Equipment & Vehicle Management

Monitor gardener working hours and review schedules to maintain efficiency
Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment across maintenance teams
Ensure tools are issued, tracked, and returned correctly
Oversee basic upkeep, cleanliness, servicing, and roadworthiness of company vehiclesWhat We're Looking For

Previous experience managing teams within a gardening, landscaping, or horticultural environment
A genuine interest in horticulture and garden maintenance
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Confident working with clients and internal teams
Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, and email
A proactive, structured, and solutions‑focused approachWhat's on Offer
