Commercial Plumber - Midlands

Our client is a Facilities Management company based just outside of Birmingham, they are looking for a Commercial Plumber to join their team to respond to reactive works and carry out planned maintenance at customers sites. The successful candidate will ideally be someone with strong plumbing experience and some pipefitting experience, within a commercial setting. Experience in other disciplines such as AC, Gas, Electrical, General Maintenance would be a huge advantage.

Responsibilities:

* Service and Maintenance works for Commercial and Retail clients

* Assisting with/leading scheduled PPM contract visits

* Attending sites for urgent reactive works

* Liaising with office staff to progress jobs in an effective and timely manner

* Logging and submitting work reports electronically

* Ensuring high standards are always maintained and procedures adhered to

Candidate Specification:

* The role will suit an experienced Engineer with qualifications and experience, with the salary on offer varying based on the experience and qualifications held by the successful applicant.

* The successful applicant will be confident and proficient enough to work alone, whilst also working well with others as often a two-man team will be required.

Essential:

* Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a commercial environment

* Hold a Level 2 NVQ plumbing qualification as a minimum.

* Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

* Experience with a variety of building fabric tasks - e.g. handyman tasks, windows/glazing, doors, flooring, carpentry, guttering, roofing - would be hugely advantageous and attract higher-end salary opportunities

* Previous experience working with commercial pipework services is advantageous

* Experience with Water temperature Testing, TMV Servicing, Legionella Testing, Drain works is advantageous
