Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them thrive in their learning environment? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team, providing flexible support to schools in Hertfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning needs.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, adapting resources, and promoting inclusive learning.
• Support pupils with personal care and communication needs where required (e.g. PECS, Makaton).
• Help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for all learners.
• Manage challenging behaviour with patience, empathy, and resilience.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A caring, flexible, and proactive approach to meeting children’s needs.
• Knowledge of strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory-based learning (desirable but not essential).
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) are an advantage but not essential.
