General Assistant - Airline Catering
We are currently recruiting General Assistant to join a catering company operating within the logistics distribution and supply chain industry, providing services to airline customers. This is a busy, hands-on role based in Crawley, ideal for reliable individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Successful candidates will be assigned to one of three departments: Dishwash, Production, or Pick & Pack, depending on operational requirements.
Pay rate: £12.81 per hour
Shift pattern: 4 days on / 2 days off (rolling rota)
Shift times:
06:00 - 14:30
14:30 - 23:00
What we offer
Key Duties of a General Assistant
Work within the assigned department (Dishwash, Production, or Pick & Pack)
Prepare, handle, clean, or pack airline catering items to required standards
Load and operate industrial wash equipment where required
Pack flight carts and trolleys accurately based on passenger numbers
Carry out basic quality and safety checks before dispatch
Rotate stock and monitor product dates
Record food waste, damages, and breakages
Dispose of waste safely using correct procedures
Support the team in meeting daily production targets
What we're looking for
Previous catering, food production, or warehouse experience is desirable but not essential
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
Basic spoken and written English
