We are recruiting for a Maintenance and Facilities Manager overseeing 3 Schools located in the Leatherhead, Caterham and Crawley areas of Surrey.

As Maintenance and Facilities Manager, you will take the lead and hold responsibility for the highest standards being delivered across the 3 Schools, you will ensure that maintenance and cleanliness of the buildings, grounds and equipment are paramount, thus ensuring the Health & Safety and general well being of everyone using the Schools.

You will work with the central estates department, supporting the development of the services through site expansion projects and integrating new/developed buildings.

* £27213 - £31297 per annum DOE plus £1500 multi site allowance.

The Provider & School

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's biggest providers of education, care and support for children and young people living with Social, Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD), Special Educational Needs (SEN) and disabilities. They have an impressive network of schools, colleges, and residential homes where all their talented teamwork with specialists to enable every young person to develop their abilities and create a positive future.

About You

As their Maintenance and Facilities Manager in Surrey, you will work alongside the Headteachers and Central Estates team aswell as external contractors, your core duties will include:

* Manage Supplier relationships

* Liaise and work with Department heads

* Respond to and resolve Adhoc maintenance requests via online ticketing software

* Be the Schools Fire Safety Officer

* Monitor and record energy usage and look at methods to improve energy efficiency

* Contribute to annual operational and CAPEX budget processes (with site and central management).

We need applicants that:

* Hold a full UK driving licence.

* Understands and can apply Legislation and Regulations relating to all aspects of site management e.g. to fire, health and safety, Legionella, asbestos, security, COSHH and Safeguarding (within a college/ school environment preferred)

* Competent at basic building repairs and maintenance and grounds maintenance and to effectively delegate and monitor work of others

* Ability to lead a team and work well with stakeholders.

* Ability to work flexibly - the Schools are operated 52 weeks a year 24hours per day.
