Structural Technician
Central Birmingham
£35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

Key tasks and responsibilities
The role will comprise of providing technical support to our structural team and the candidate will have experience of detailing in structural steelwork, concrete and masonry.

Person specification
Knowledge:
• Fully competent in AutoCAD.
• Revit Structural modelling experience essential.
• Good level of technical competence and good understanding of building structures and structural/civil engineering.
• Demonstrated experience using Revit on live projects.
• Ideally a background on residential, commercial and industrial projects

Skills and Abilities:
• Proven ability as a structural technician.
• Pays attention to detail and ensures all details are appropriate and co-ordinated with other disciplines drawings internally and externally.
• Has the ability to solve problems.

Personal Qualities:
• Confident and self-motivated.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, external consultants, management and staff.
• Interest in pursuing professional qualifications and promoting the role of technician in a BIM driven environment desirable
