Location - Teddington

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an M&E manager to oversee a engineering team on a static commercial site in Teddington. The Manager is responsible for overseeing all technical matters relating to the effective maintenance and operation of all electrical and mechanical systems and equipment in strict adherence to Safety Rules and Procedures. The manager will lead the team in managing all planned and reactive maintenance as well as minor works and occasional small projects on behalf of a leading service provider who have won national awards

The Responsibilities

* Ensure all PPM's and Reactives for the Electrical Team are carried out to schedule as well as completion of all other client service requests in line with Account SLA's.

* Ensure all statutory and other related engineering maintenance documentation/records is kept in clearly identifiable and retrievable systems

* Agree specifications with the Client for extra works and then liaise with prospective subcontractors and prepare quotation to be submitted to the client

* Be proficient in managing costs relating to delivery of maintenance activities, ensuring that financial processes are always adhered to.

* Identify potential technical improvements for existing plant and equipment maintenance to facilitate improved reliability and /or cost reduction with fully supported documentation.

* Work with sub-contractors involved in plant and equipment maintenance to ensure highest possible standards of maintenance are achieved.

* Provide guidance and advice on contractors RAMS for none-routine works on site and carry out assessment of Contractors competencies, as required.

* Provide guidance and mentorship to Electrical team and others including Apprentices on site.

* Undertake Electrical AP duties after appointment by Account Director on the recommendation of site SAP / AE.

* Advise Account / Contract Manager on Technical Competencies required to fulfil the Electrical Maintenance requirements, assist with interviews when required and, as necessary, arrange Technical Training for Site Staff.

* Provide a Technical point of contact for Client and Site Technical Staff, ensuring you are up to date with Engineering Developments and Technology advancements and how they could be implemented on your site.

Experience and Qualifications

* Degree or HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering

* Minimum 5 years experience as a Supervisor or Manager

* Good knowledge of Building Service systems, BMS, HV, Generators, Boilers

* Great time management skills

* Excellent problem solving skills
