The Freestore Foodbank is hiring! Based in Cincinnati, FSFB is one of Ohio’s largest foodbanks. Our mission is to provide food and services, create stability and further self-reliance for people in crisis. We are currently seeking a full-time Agency Services Coordinator, located at our Mayerson Distribution Center!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under the supervision of the Director of Community Partnerships & Programs, the Agency Services Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact between the Freestore Foodbank and partner agencies. This position is responsible for fostering strong relationships and network development within an assigned territory, supporting the goal of hunger relief. Manages all aspects of agency service end-end in assigned territory.
Serves as relationship manager for all food distribution through our community partner network. Responsible for the oversight of established partner organizations, including assessments, conducting site visits, ensuring program quality, and creation/implementation of specific partner outcomes sought. Supports partners in ensuring that all applicable requirements and standards are met as well as offers support in grant opportunities for community partner agencies.
In addition, this position is responsible for coordinating the application and evaluation processes for new network partners. Assists in the evaluation of existing network partners of the Freestore Food Bank in accordance with Feeding America, Federal, State and Grant guidelines.
Drives growth by identifying the needs for agency capacity development and opportunities for further collaborations with FSFB. Works to identify and target community/neighborhood gap areas. Identifies opportunities for new pantries and/or mobile markets in collaboration with the local community to meet need of identified areas. Organize & manage special events for agency partners to increase distribution of product
Work with partner agencies and internal departments to improve processes through systematic problem solving.
· Manages all order processing and logistics, all orders, delivery and pick-up, credit requests, credit holds
· Provides technical assistance to agency partners and internal partners related to the ordering process - both in phone & in person consultation in the field
· Responds to agency partner complaints/issues in a timely manner working in collaboration with other internal teams to resolve.
· Rotates staffing of welcome reception of stop & shop. Helping with the check-in process
· Collects, tracks and analyzes quality of service data, identifying system and process issues & recommending opportunities for improvement
· Proactively communicates with partner agencies regarding services, schedule changes, food safety, product marketing & movement.
· Consults with food sourcing team on strategies for movement/turns of close dated product.
· Additional duties as assigned
AGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience in account management/customer services required.
Extensive experience in customer service internal and external required
Experience in community needs assessment required. Must have experience working across sectors and with collaboratives, elected officials and funders. Government relations and advocacy experience strongly preferred.
High degree of creativity, innovation and flexibility with strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to accomplish goals within timeframes and complete reports by appropriate dates.
Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment.
Must be Food Safe and ServSafe certified or receive certification within six months of the hire date.
Frequent local travel required within the foodbank service area and occasional travel outside the area. Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.
Extensive working experience in the use of technology applications and infrastructure is strongly desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
