Project Accountant - Glasgow - £40 - £50k

Are you a proactive and analytical finance professional looking to make a real impact? We're seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to join our team in Glasgow. In this role, you'll play a key part in driving financial performance and providing vital management information to support important project decisions. Please note, this position requires a minimum of 3-4 days per week at our Glasgow Depot.

Duties

* Managing project accounts and maintaining effective cost control mechanisms

* Analyzing costs against budgets and forecasts, preparing variance analysis reports

* Processing and validating supplier invoices, ensuring accurate monthly accruals

* Supporting Commercial Managers with forecasting and business reviews

* Preparing payment applications and managing billing responsibilities

* Ensuring compliance with internal control procedures

* Providing financial modelling and costing support

* Developing cross-functional relationships to enhance departmental efficiency

Skills needed

* Being part-qualified in CIMA or ACCA

* Having a working knowledge of SAP (desirable)

* Possessing experience in project-based accounting (desirable)

* Demonstrating solid accounting and financial experience

* Having a strong understanding of key financial statements

* Exhibiting excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

* Demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Being self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
