💰 £12.50 - £13.50 per hour | ⏰ 40 hours per week | 🛏️ Sleep-in shifts required

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for x2 Residential Support Workers to join a brand new 4-bed children's home in Hoddesdon (EN11). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established, fully staffed team committed to providing high-quality care.

The children home is registered to provide support for children and young people who have emotional, complex, social and behavioural needs.

The ethos of the children's homes is to provide safety and stability to children in a time of great difficulty and change, enabling them to continue with everyday life even though they may be facing tough challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Support children and young people with daily routines, ensuring their safety and well-being
Assist with personal care tasks, including feeding, bathing, and dressing where required
Help implement care plans and support key workers to deliver consistent, nurturing care
Engage young people in positive activities and support the development of life skills
Monitor and report any changes in behaviour, health, or emotional well-being
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised home environment
Keep accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
Collaborate with colleagues, social workers, families, and external professionals
Work a rota that includes evenings, weekends, and sleep-insCandidate Requirements:

Previous experience in a residential children's home or similar setting
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
Strong commitment to supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
