The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering engaging pre-planned lessons and ensuring pupils remain on task

Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a calm, focused learning environment

Supporting students with their work where required

Taking accurate registers and providing clear feedback to teaching staff

Working collaboratively with teachers and wider school teams

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

Have previous experience working within a UK secondary school setting

Be confident in managing classroom behaviour effectively

Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills

Have a genuine passion for supporting young people in education

Be able to provide suitable references

Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

Have the Right to Work in the UK
