Teaching Assistant

Location: Handford
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
Pay Rate: £106 - £110 per day

We're working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Handford area who are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support across lessons and activities.

• Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to reinforce learning.

• Assist in preparing learning resources and supporting lesson delivery.

• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and active engagement.

• Support the teacher in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

About You

• Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting.

• A calm, patient, and supportive approach.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to follow direction while using initiative to support pupils effectively.

• Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (desirable)
