Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in the lives of children with additional needs?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school in Kent. This role is ideal for individuals who are confident in working 1:1 and in small groups, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, SEMH, and PMLD.

Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

Deliver tailored learning and emotional support to pupils with special educational needs.
Assist in implementing EHCPs and behaviour plans in collaboration with teaching staff.
Promote independence, inclusion, and positive behaviour both in and out of the classroom.
Support personal care needs where necessary with dignity and respect.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with SEN pupils in an educational or care setting.
Strong understanding of Autism, SEMH, and other learning needs.
Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning and well-being.
Willingness to support with personal care if required.
Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
