This new role in our Communications & Digital team is an exciting opportunity to help shape the Abbey’s digital future, telling our stories and building relationships with audiences around the world.

About the role

You will at the centre of Abbey life and be responsible for managing and developing our website and other key digital tools. You will oversee development work with agencies, monitor website hosting and maintenance, and ensure content is written and presented to an excellent standard. You’ll also contribute technical expertise to support the Abbey’s new SharePoint intranet and email management tool, Mailchimp.

You will play an important role in driving digital insights, monitoring analytics, and sharing actionable recommendations across our platforms.

About you

We’re looking for someone with the following skills and qualities:

  • Project Management: Experience managing website projects and working with digital agencies.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in using Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and other tools to optimize digital channels.
  • Technical Understanding: Familiarity with SharePoint, Mailchimp, and web accessibility best practice.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling copy and report insights effectively.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work across departments and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and an understanding of design, user experience (UX), and accessibility.
  • Proactive and Adaptable: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
