Director of Housing
Location: Remote (National role with UK-wide travel) Hours: 32 hours per week (typically Monday-Thursday, with flexibility) Contract: Full-time Salary: £47,750 FTE (Pro rata) Requirement: Full driving licence & access to own vehicle
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Housing to lead and develop our supported housing services nationally.
Reporting to the CEO and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering a new 5-year housing strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, operational excellence, and high-quality, tenant-focused services.
This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone confident operating at both strategic and operational levels within supported housing or homelessness services.
About You
- Proven senior leadership experience within supported housing, housing, or homelessness services
- Strong experience operating at both strategic and operational levels
- Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale service improvements or growth strategies
- Strong knowledge of housing legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Experience managing budgets, assets, and multi-site services
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership skills
- Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) is essential
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel across the UK including London, Bath, Belfast, Walsall, and St Albans
- Monthly in-person Board meeting in Leamington Spa
- Mileage reimbursed at £0.45 per mile
- Role is primarily home-based with travel as required
