Production Operator - Temporary to Permanent

Location: Welham Green
Hours: Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:30, Fri 07:30-12:30
Pay: £14 per hour
Contract: Temporary with the view to becoming permanent

Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Production Operator to join their manufacturing facility. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills across multiple areas of production, warehouse operations, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Picking, packing, reeling, palletising, cutting, and checking stock.
Accurately reading and working from picking lists, and stock lists.
Using the company's ERP system to check inventory and update records.
Printing labels and preparing orders to meet scheduled shipping dates.
Working flexibly across different sections of the facility at short notice to meet production requirements.
Maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation in all tasks.
Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, problem solving, and efficiency optimisation.Skills & Experience Required

Strong communication skills with co‑workers and managers.
Proven ability to work well within a team and support collective goals.
Experience in picking, packing, warehouse operations, stock checking, and computer‑based inventory systems.
Competent IT skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workload.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Logical thinker with a keen interest in problem solving and process improvement.
