Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking an Adult’s Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
- Lead safeguarding enquiries under Section 42, ensuring concerns are assessed, investigated, and managed in line with statutory duties.
- Carry out risk assessments and develop safety plans that protect adults at risk while promoting independence and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies such as health, police, housing, and voluntary services to ensure coordinated safeguarding responses.
- Undertake mental capacity assessments and apply the Mental Capacity Act, ensuring decisions are made in the person’s best interests where required.
- Create clear, evidence-based reports and present findings at safeguarding meetings, strategy discussions, and case conferences.
- Maintain accurate, timely case recordings in line with local authority standards and legislative requirements.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues, partner agencies, and families on safeguarding procedures and best practice.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
- Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
