Caster (Pottery)

Location: Stoke on Trent

Workings hours: Monday to Friday 5:30am - 1:30pm

Rate of pay: £13.77ph

We are looking for an experienced ceramics operative who thrives in a hands-on environment and takes pride in creating high-quality ceramic pieces.

As a Caster, you'll be at the heart of a production line, engaging in a variety of exciting tasks including:

Selecting and preparing moulds
Preparing clay slip to the right consistency
Pouring slip into the mould
Carefully removing cast pieces from the moulds after they've set
Inspecting cast pieces for any defects
Maintaining an organised and safe working environment

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience within casting or a similar role
A keen eye for detail to ensure consistent quality in casting and finishing.
Ability to work with tools and handle delicate ceramic pieces with care.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
