Job Description

Operations Manager

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Season

· Oversight of all day-to-day operations of the facility, including:

o Assistant Operations Manager and supervisors

o Ride Operations

o Game Operations

o Arcade Operations

o Park Services and garbage removal

o Security Operations

o First aid, EMT issues

· Coordinates with HR for recruitment needs

· Oversees and participates in training program for all departments

· Scheduling and time clock control/approval of listed departments

· Manages Personnel Budget (of listed departments)

· Responsible for opening and closing procedures of facility

· Collects and communicates all technical issues to Maintenance Department

· Procurement of park supplies, park signage, cleaning supplies, merchandise, and game prizes

· Handles customer service issues and First Aid issues as they arise

· Emergency preparation for power outages, inclement weather, and ride incidents

· Oversight of ride incident/accident reporting procedure

· Responsible for efficiently managing operational ride down time.

· Performs Manager on Duty functions for all properties as assigned

Off-Season

· Assembles Personnel Budget (of listed departments)

· Coordinates with HR for recruitment needs

· Assists with Capital Investment Budget

· Establishes vendor contracts by preparing and soliciting bids

· Project Manager for business developments and internal projects

· Liaison with government agencies for permits and inspections

· Participate in all applicable training initiatives

Special Projects / Duties

· Participate in Halloween event related projects

· Participate in activities related to the Zamperla Group

Off-Season Projects Management

· Contractors project management

· Planning Capital Investment

· Planning seasonal personnel budget

· Liaise with official agencies

· Purchasing for following season; Plush Toys

Requirements:

· College degree in business administration or equivalent experience required

· Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management

· Knowledge of business and management principles and practices

· Knowledge of project management principles and practices

Those guys have been making rides for so long that they decided to get in on the magic of operating the rides they make. Thus, Central Amusement International (CAI) entered the domestic amusement space. CAI first opened up shop in Central Park in 2003. The wintertime space of Wollman's Rink transforms in the summer to Victorian Gardens. After kicking butt for a few years in Manhattan, CAI took it to the streets of Brooklyn. Opening in 2010, Luna Park, whose namesake comes from the historical park that operated from 1903 to 1944, was built in a short 100 days.
