About the Role

We are recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools in Northamptonshire. This role involves supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning and thrive in a supportive educational environment.

Positions are available in primary, secondary, and specialist settings, offering flexibility and variety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Assist students with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH
  • Support learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
  • Assist with personal care where required
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to support personal care needs where required
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are beneficial but not essential
