Experienced Social Worker - Children's Social Work Teams (CSWT)
Salary: Up to £45,829 + £5,500 market premia + £3,000 annual retention payment (after 1 year's service)
We are recruiting for an Experienced Social Worker to join the Children's Social Work Teams at Medway Council. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner to work with children and families using the Signs of Safety practice model, ensuring that every child receives the highest standard of safeguarding and support.
The Role:

Manage a varied caseload, undertaking assessments, SMART planning and reviews with clear objectives and outcomes.
Implement child in need or child protection plans, escalating to legal proceedings where necessary.
Work directly with children and young people to capture their lived experiences, wishes and feelings.
Consistently use relationship-based and strengths-based practice to build positive outcomes for families.
Prepare clear, structured reports for conferences, reviews and court proceedings.
Maintain accurate case records in line with GDPR requirements.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and professionals across agencies.About You:

Qualified Social Worker with successful completion of the ASYE year plus at least 2 years' experience working with children and families.
Registered with Social Work England.
Experience in child protection, court work and direct work with children and young people.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance and best practice models.
Strong assessment, analytical and report-writing skills.
Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective supervision.
Car driver with daily business use.What's on Offer:
