We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a global advanced manufacturing business in Southampton. You’ll play a key role in supporting production, improving processes and introducing new products into manufacturing within a collaborative engineering environment.

The Mechanical Engineer Role

Working closely with the Engineering team to support various manufacturing processes, your main responsibilities will include:

• Manage and maintain production documentation
• Investigate and resolve production issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
• Support the introduction of new products into production using APQP
• Identify and support continuous improvement activities
• Investigate and support new manufacturing technologies and processes
• Help with setting up and programming production equipment
• Ensure process changes are documented accurately
• Work cross-functionally to ensure products meet required standards

This is a hands-on role supporting manufacturing and process engineering activities.

The ideal candidate

You’ll be a hands-on Manufacturing or Production Engineer with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll have a good understanding of manufacturing processes and be comfortable working closely with production teams to identify issues, implement solutions and support improvements.

You are a proactive and adaptable person with a structured approach to problem solving and good attention to detail. You can communicate clearly with different teams and work well across functions. You are also willing to learn, take ownership of your work and support ongoing improvements.
