An astounding school are looking for a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic educational team in Slough. This role is ideal for someone with a robust background in food technology, eager to inspire students to explore and excel in culinary arts and food science.
Day-to-day of the role: - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative food technology lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that includes food preparation, nutrition, and food science.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a passion for the culinary arts.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support where necessary.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the educational experience and integrate interdisciplinary approaches.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety in all cooking and food preparation activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in teaching food technology at the secondary school level.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire students.
