SEN Teaching Assistant

Academics Ltd are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a fantastic specialist school in Ramsgate with a strong focus on SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). This is a fantastic chance for someone who is passionate about empowering young people to break through learning barriers and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with pupils who require emotional, behavioural and academic support
• Help students regulate emotions, develop resilience and engage positively in lessons
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group interventions
• Assist teachers in delivering structured, motivating and supportive learning activities
• Contribute to a safe, stable and nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive

What we're looking for:

• Experience working with children, ideally within a SEN setting/ SEMH background
• Passion, empathy and desire for working with children with Special Educational Needs
• A strong communicator who is able to work collaboratively with staff and pupils
• A willingness to learn and grow

** Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students

** £90 - £100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only

** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
