Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A)

Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office)Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + benefits

A leading Financial Services organisation is embarking on an ambitious growth and transformation journey and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join its expanding team.

Reporting into the FP&A function, you will combine core financial planning and analysis with strong business partnering, advanced financial modelling, and a focus on automation and reporting improvement.

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
  • Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities
  • Provide high-quality insight to support senior leadership decisions
  • Develop and enhance financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs
  • Act as a key finance partner to senior and operational stakeholders
  • Present complex financial information clearly to non-finance audiences
  • Support business cases, investment appraisals, and strategic initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual and repetitive finance processes
  • Drive continuous improvement across FP&A systems, tools, and ways of working
  • Build and maintain robust financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis
  • Use advanced Excel and analytical techniques to enhance insight and decision-making
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams on system improvements and data integration
  • Support finance transformation and system enhancement initiatives

Key Skill and Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
  • Proven experience in an FP&A or Financial Analyst role within Financial Services is essential
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, planning, and performance reporting
  • Demonstrable experience partnering with senior, non-financial stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modelling capability
  • Experience improving reporting efficiency and automating finance processes
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and confident working with complex data
