Description
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations.
- Provide expert advice on tax planning opportunities and potential risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive tax solutions to clients.
- Assist in tax audits and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of VAT returns and address related queries.
- Contribute to the development of tax processes and controls within the department.
- Deliver timely and accurate reports to senior management and clients.
Profile
A successful Tax Accountant should have:
- A recognised qualification in accounting or tax, such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns, including corporate and VAT.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- The ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
