Are you a HGV Technician/Mechanic looking for a new exciting role in a growing and expanding business?
We are looking for a HGV Technician to join our team in Ellesmere Port. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles and trailers.

Salary: £39,300

Monday - Friday 06.00 - 14.30 & 13.30 - 22.00 rotating

Responsibilities

· Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers

· Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation

· Overhaul electrical equipment and components

· Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment

· Welding and metal working

· Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation

· Parts ordering and stores management

· Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required

· Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs

· Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed

Qualifications:

· Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance.

· Diagnostics skills/qualifications - desirable

· A valid Class 1 licence - desirable

· Proficient in using hand tools, power tools.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
