Staff Nurse

Bristol, UK

A rare part- time opportunity, Monday - Friday working, no nights, has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated band 5 nurse to join the discharge lounge team

The discharge lounge is key to the success of maintaining and facilitating the flow of hospital beds for emergency and elective patients on a day to day basis. The discharge lounge provides a safe comfortable environment for patients to sit and relax whilst waiting to be discharged from hospital. This unique service currently sees an average of 650 patients per month.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong team work ethic but have the confidence to work independently. Good communication skills are essential as you will be required to liaise with wards and multi-disciplinary teams. The registered nurse must have the ability to work under pressure as the lounge can quickly become a fast paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small but strong team, and will give you an opportunity to develop your organisational and management skills. This role will also require you to participate in developing and implementing change in the discharge lounge.
