The Role

As a Mathematics Early Career Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and accelerate student progress.

  • Differentiate learning to support students of all abilities, including SEND and EAL learners.

  • Create a positive, purposeful classroom environment that promotes high standards and strong behaviour for learning.

  • Work closely with experienced colleagues within a supportive Maths department.

  • Contribute to curriculum enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities, such as maths clubs or competitions.

  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds or will achieve QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) by September 2026.

  • Has a strong academic background in Mathematics or a related subject.

  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching Maths.

  • Has high expectations for student behaviour, effort, and achievement.

  • Is committed to inclusive education and raising attainment for all learners.

  • Is reflective, motivated, and eager to develop as a teacher through ongoing professional development.

  • Thrives in a collaborative and supportive school environment.
