Site Supervisor / Caretaker - (Preston PR1)
Start Date: 20th April
Pay: £14-£18 per hour
Hours: 12 - 6 PM
Location: Penwortham, Preston
A Headteacher of a lovely secondary school in Preston is seeking a Site Supervisor / Caretaker. The school is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of its students, staff, parents, and the wider local community.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous site, caretaking, or maintenance experience who is available to start immediately and enjoys working in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with securing the school site
* Supporting with locking up at the end of the school day
* Carrying out general site assistant duties
* Performing basic maintenance and minor repairs
* Supporting with health and safety checks
* Ensuring the premises remain clean, safe, and well-maintained
* Assisting with contractor access and supervision where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience in a school caretaking, site assistant, or facilities role
* Basic maintenance and DIY skills
* A flexible and proactive approach to work
* Good communication skills
* The ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
* Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
