Randstad Education is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with special educational needs. We have an immediate opportunity at a fantastic specialist school in Watford.

We need individuals with at least 6 months' experience working with SEN children. Whether you are an existing Teaching Assistant looking to specialize in SEND, transitioning from a care role, or an experienced SEN TA seeking a new challenge, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing individual or small group support to students.
  • Assisting the teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Supporting students with challenging behaviour.
  • Preparing lesson materials and equipment.
  • Assisting with students' personal care (e.g., feeding, toileting).
  • Helping students with daily tasks and learning activities.
  • Ensuring student safeguarding and support.

Required Qualifications:

  • Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience working with children who have additional needs.
  • 2 recent professional references.
  • Experience managing challenging behaviours.
  • Calm and caring demeanour.
  • Strong and resilient personality with a commitment to student development.
  • Good reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Team Teach training (or willingness to attend).
