About the Role:

Excel Industrial is seeking a skilled Fabricator / Welder to join the team. This role involves ongoing repairs and modifications to the fleet, along with occasional larger fabrication projects. As a Fabricator / Welder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fleet remains in top condition through expert welding, fabricating, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Fabricate steel components and weld steel and aluminium of varying thicknesses and quality.

* Perform repairs including grinding, welding, and cutting.

* Adhere to company Health and Safety standards and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

* Accurately complete all job cards, service reports, and inspection sheets.

* Follow parts order procedures, handle warranty claims, and manage exchange items.

* Meet customer requirements by delivering high-quality workmanship.

* Treat all customer and company vehicles, property, and workshop tools with care and attention at all times.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

* Previous experience in repairing/fabricating truck bodies and trailers.

* Qualified and time-served as a welder fabricator.

* Essential: MIG Welding experience.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

* Full UK Driving licence.
